Towering Tutus for Manukau

Bringing dance to the people ofNew Zealand has always been important to the Royal New Zealand Ballet, and 2009 is no exception with TOWER Tutus on Tour coming to the Genesis Energy Theatre at TelstraClear Pacific.

The company will present one public performance and two School Matinees during TOWER Tutus On Tour to Manukau in March.

The Mayor of Manukau City Len Brown will open the Manukau Festival of Arts with the unveiling of “Ngatahi”. The public unveiling of a large outdoor temporary artwork work entitled “Ngatahi“(together) will mark the opening of Manukau Festival of Arts.

The work will represent the many strands of culture that make up the community of Manukau and will be suspended from the yet to be completed SH20 over bridge.  Together both represent a growing community coming together. Viewing is available from the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre site.

Yesterday local Manukau residents Audrey and John Delugar were recognized together as the Millionth visitor to the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre. CEO of the centre Richard Jeffery presented them with a certificate and a limited edition Fatu Fe'u Frangipani print on tapa cloth.

Counties Manukau Pacific Trust who developed and operates the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre in Manukau is pleased to announce its audited results for the year end March 2007.

“As an independently owned and operated community facility it is pleasing to continue to breakeven and be self sufficient. When benchmarked to similar facilities in New Zealand an operating subsidy of a third of operating revenue is normally required to breakeven” said Noel Robinson, Chairman for the Trust.

SOLID ENTERTAINMENT, C4 and THE EDGE are delighted to announce that the FALL OUT BOY concert has moved into a larger venue to accommodate the massive demand to see the band play live for the first time in New Zealand.

The show will now take place on March 5th at TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre, 770 Great South Road, Manukau, Auckland.

Tickets will go back on sale again from Thursday - February 15th - from Ticket Direct 09 379 7979 / www.ticketdirect.co.nz or in person from any TicketDirect outlet (including TelstraClear Pacific Box Office) and Real Groovy Records.

The Royal New Zealand Ballet is preparing to dance on your doorstep at TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre with TOWER Tutus On Tour.

The company will present one public performance and 2 schools performances of TOWER Tutus On Tour at TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre in March 2007.

The performance/s will be presented by TelstraClear Pacific.

After a highly successful sell out show of the countries largest theatres “Rock n Roll Heaven” with the Class of 58 is coming to Manukau. Combined with the fine catering of Austin ’s Food Design Events – Rockers are in for a real treat.

On the 8th of December be transported to a time when music was exciting, fast and fun, the 50s and 60s. Dine and dance along with Shane & The Class of 58 at the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre.
