Painted by artists Otis Frizzell and Daniel Tippett, the Lion Foundation Hall of Champions is a magnificent four-metre high, 45 metre long mural honouring the heroes of Counties Manukau.

The Mural features larger than life portraits of Sir Edmund Hillary, David Lange, champion board sailor Barbara Kendall, rugby player Jonah Lomu, rally legend Possum Bourne, hip hop pioneer Phil Fuemana, Fisher & Paykel co-founder Sir Woolf Fisher and gold medal sports stars John Walker and Yvette Corlett.

The Mural also incorporates the work of five local artists: Kevin Dong from Pakuranga, Lorraine Henderson from Onewhero, Jayson Mokotupu from Otara and Jason Pocklington and Isabella Shin from Howick, who were selected as winners of Make Your Mark, a competition that invited locals to contribute to the final artwork and nominate the 'champions' to feature on the Mural.
